Post 8: Unequal Experiences Unlished...

Experience, experience, experience...
my over all experience in Computer and Practical Arts.
Well, I can say that I really did learn a bunch of new
and useful things in this subject. I discovered a lot of amazing
things and gained such informations. The experiences and learnings really defined the significance of computer in our lives. It really did made things less
difficult and less complicated. I really can't forget
the time when I almost had my head explode because of the project I made in programming. The errors made me crazy and it really gave me a tough headache.
Good thing I was able to solve the puzzle before the deadline.
Oh, what a relief that was. Computer had been one of my favorite subjects ever since. I loved exploring and surfing in the internet. I am really
eager to learn all the short cut keys and know how to operate all
the applications in a computer. My favorite session in this subject is the
ComLab session
('cause it's COLD!!! hahaha). I will never forget the silly things
that happened inside the computer laboratory. All the foolish things that my
classmates had been doing every session. My favorite part in this
field is the handi craft making and creating my blog.
The handi craft making was fun, and to learn how to make such thing is a great advantage for a person. It will help in developing of one's skill in art
and will help in showing one's creativity as well. Creating a blog was fun, putting all the things you want and posting all the ideas you have. I get to
express what I feel through this and let others know what I feel.
The blog experience was wonderful. Well, I really enjoyed this subject this year.
I will cherish every memory that was brought by a group of silly,
naughty and rebellious students and a teacher, a teacher I will never forget.
I salute our teacher in this field because she'd been very
patient all through the school year. She was able to stand my
classmates behavior. She went all through her way and never gave up.
She taught us everything that we should learn. She shared all the things she knew to us. She had been very considerate and understanding. I just hope that she won't change and wish tha she will still be our Practical Arts teacher next school year.

Post 7.1: Artificial Orchid

This handi craft was to be made by group
so I thought that we won't have a hard time finishing it since there are
four heads who'll be working on it. But it looks like what I thought was a contrary. The day after our teacher informed us about the craft, we were able to finish shaping the wire for the different parts of the orchid immediately.

Everything was going fine,
except the fact that only three heads were on action. The following day, there
was only the two of us at work, it isn't fair. Day by day, the number
of members who were participating lessened. As far as I can remember, the hardest part in making this craft was the pasting part. We had to apply the glue on the
wire patiently and carefully so that it won't mess up. Doing this part would be less
difficult if only there was cooperation. It was really unfair. the two
of us spent almost the whole Saturday just to finish the orchid. Both
of us really felt the pressure 'cause that time, periodical exam
was fast approaching and we still needed to study. It was more
like a paired work than a group. This is the reason why I hate
working by group, I'd rather work alone that to work with a group that
only depends on one person or two.
The both of us get to do and finish the thing and they, who
just sat down and did nothing get the grade. (*sigh*) Well,
this is life, you can't force everybody to help especially if they aren't
concerned about it. This isn't new to me, this always happen and every time it does,
I always tell myself that at least I learn something,
at least I get the learnings, not only the grades. Grades
won't be as useful as learning are in the future. Any way, the orchid making went well. We were able to finish it on time, thank God. Well, though there
was unfairness, I did enjoy. I had fun making the orchid, much more finishing it.
It was nice, the outcome was great and I can say that me and my partner really gave our best. The experience was worth keeping.

Post 6.1: Butterfly Hanging Figure

It was hard making the
structure of the butterfly, but it was fun. I was felt gladness
after seeing the so called
butterfly skeleton. The most difficult part while doing the handicraft is
the inserting of stockings on its wings. It was hard because the stockings
won't follow the curves of the wings.
I decided to just sew it to lessen my difficult. So, I
started sewing the stockings at the edge
of the butterfly's wings. I also
attached the feet of the insect by sewing. I was really not satisfied
with my work 'cause I think it's messy. But anyway after the
sewing part, came the coloring portion. I picked blue
as the main color of the wings with the matching highlights of
sky blue and white but the color that was given to me is lavender and
I was really disappointed with the outcome. I couldn't do
anything because I only found out that the blue colored dye
was lavender after soaking the insect.
So even though disappointed, I still continued.
I sprinkled some glitters on it and attached some beads.
I made some designs for the wings out of this materials.
It was tiring and I don't know if it's worth the passing point,
but I gave my best shot.
Hope It'll pass!!!

Post 5.1: Handi Photo Frame

Making the photo frame
was fun at the same time a bit hard. First was the peeling
of the carton. I peeled one side of the
carton so that it's curly part would be seen.
It was fine at first, but it messed up in the end.
Some portion of the carton was left and it took me a span of time detaching it. It was really tiring and i really needed
much patience.

After construction of the frame,
came the hardest part for me, beautifying it. It was hard for me
because I don't have such talent in designing.
I really didn't had any idea on how to start with
the designs until an idea pop up into my mind. I saw a yarn and thought
of making a bracelet for the borders of the star-shaped portion of my frame.
I also cut it into strips for the frame's background.
I made flowers out of straws but I did not included it
at the front side of my frame because it doesn't match with the designs.
I didn't want to waste my effort for making it,
so I decided to just paste it at the back cover.
I sprinkled glitter on it and put glitter glue on its borders.
And at last, I was able to finish the frame on time.
It looked good although not the best.
I'm proud of my frame because I made it by my own.
